The Automotive Service Advisors Certificate opens many door and great earnings potential in the automotive repair industry and many related repair industries, too.
This program allows you to work with ASE-certified instructors who incorporate a wealth of real-world experience into the classroom and lab. Faculty members are dedicated to helping students reach their career goals. Our faculty members strive to make the learning experience practical and rewarding. You’ll benefit from their expertise, professionalism and automotive industry contacts.
The Automotive Technology program at Moraine Valley is designed to be completed in about one year.
This program prepares the student for an entry-level position in the automotive service industry.
Proficiency Credit (PC) allows students to earn college credit by demonstrating knowledge attained outside of the traditional college classroom setting.

To begin the process of converting certifications/non-credit training to college credit, please complete the following steps:
- Submit completed Proficiency Credit form along with certifications/non-credit training information to the Academic Outreach Department for evaluation.
