Forge your passion into a Career in Welding
Learn essential concepts and acquire valuable experience in welding.
Welders are employed by manufacturing, fabrication, maintenance and construction companies. They are important to ensure the safety of infrastructure in communities by repairing and rebuilding bridges, highways, buildings and more.
Because of new government regulations and personal safety requirements that dictate stricter codes, welders must be trained. Also, more products have emerged requiring certified and qualified welders.
Moraine Valley certificates will help you become more marketable.
The Welding Combination Certificate at Moraine Valley is designed to be completed in about one year.
This program prepares students for employment in the welding field. Students gain experience in SMAW (stick), gas metal arc welding (mig), gas tungsten arc welding (tig), submerged arc welding flux, cored arc welding, brazing, braze welding, oxy fuel and plasma cutting.
