Where Students Connect and Thrive

MSA supports academic achievement and helps students build strong connections through its student services. It offers a variety of activities and experiences that encourage learning and involvement in campus life. These services are open to all students and include direct support and coordination of both individual and group programs that promote engagement with the college environment and academic success.

The goals of MSA are to:
  • Support access to higher education for students pursuing academic advancement.
  • Promote development of academic and social skills necessary for college and career success.
  • Assist in the process for evaluating educational documents and skills attained in other countries.
  • Provide guidance to help students attain a college degree.
  • Facilitate successful transfer to a four-year institution.

In addition to forming collaborative partnerships with other divisions on campus to co-sponsor students and community activities, MSA has specific programmatic initiatives, which include:
Academic Coaching
Transfer assistance
Computerized scholarship information search and career planning assistance
Educational planning resources (i.e. references, college catalogs, college applications, videos, and transfer guides)
Hosting representatives from sister colleges and universities
Faculty/staff mentoring program
