Moraine Valley’s Automated and Engineering Technology Programs offer the hands-on learning you need to image and architect across a variety of industries such as: movie production, computer games, architectural visualization, broadcast and interactive design. Moraine Valley additionally offers five supplemental certificate programs that includes, Additive Manufacturing Specialist, Architectural CAD, AutoCAD Specialist, Autodesk Inventor Specialist, and Mechanical Drafting Associate.
This program prepares students for entry-level positions in mechanical drafting and computer aided design (CAD). Development of drafting/CAD skills and practical applications are stressed.

A Mechanical Drafting Associate Certificate prepares you for hands-on roles creating technical drawings and 3D models used in manufacturing and engineering.
You鈥檒l work with engineers and designers to turn concepts into detailed plans that guide how products and parts are built.
Graduates are prepared for entry-level positions supporting product development, fabrication and production processes across industries such as manufacturing, engineering and industrial design.
The Autodesk Inventor Specialist at Moraine Valley is designed to be completed in about one year.
The Mechanical Drafting Associate Certificate at Moraine Valley typically can be completed in about one year when attending full time.
This program prepares students for entry-level roles in mechanical drafting and computer-aided design (CAD). Students develop skills in technical drawing, 3D modeling and interpreting design specifications while gaining hands-on experience with industry-standard software and tools.
