Our highly skilled faculty will teach you the essential skills to effectively work in the hospitality industry and oversee baking and pastry food service operations in various settings, including: hotels, health care facilities, cruise ships, catering companies and manufacturing operations.
You’ll learn basic baking principles and pastry preparation for cakes, bread, cookies, frozen desserts and other baked goods. You also will gain expertise in menu planning, cost controls, marketing, nutrition, sanitation, and food preparation and production.

If you love to bake and have always dreamed of making dessert creations that taste delicious and look amazing, you should consider earning an A.A.S. degree or certificate in baking and pastry.
Graduates from the Baking and Pastry Program will be qualified to work in a variety of baker and pastry chef positions, including wedding and cake design, culinary desserts, food safety, chocolates and confections, bread making and pastry design.
