While not all the composers on our Spring Concert are from the 21st脢century, the MVO aligns its Spring concert repertoire with Moraine Valley脮s One-Book One-College 脪Disability Visibility: First-person stories from the 21st脢Century脫. 脢The MVO concert will include music by composers who suffered from blindness, deafness, malformities, depression and schizophrenia: Beethoven, Delius, Bach, Molly Joyce, Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, and 脪The Pinball Wizard脫 all faced adversity. Through the centuries, these musicians have been put on a pedestal or just as easily, tossed aside while dealing with their afflictions.
