‘Mercury: The Concert Celebration of Queen’s Front Man’ coming to Moraine Valley

“Mercury: The Concert Celebration of Queen’s Front Man” is a tribute to and story about singer Freddie Mercury. The show will take place on Thursday, Nov. 14, 7:30 p.m., at the ɫ Fine and Performing Arts Center (FPAC), 9000 W. College Parkway in Palos Hills.

Countertenor Terry Barber will pay tribute in this show to Freddie Mercury, the lead singer of Queen, and the songs that made him famous. He also will share details and stories about Mercury, using some of the legend’s own words. Enjoy familiar tunes such as “We Are the Champions,” “Fat Bottomed Girls,” “You’re My Best Friend,” “The Great Pretender,” “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “Don’t Stop Me Now,” “Barcelona,” “Somebody to Love” and more. He will be joined on stage by a recent Tony Award winner and world-class band.

Barber was a past member of the Grammy Award-winning group Chanticleer and has been a soloist for the Metropolitan Opera, Carnegie Hall, London’s Queen Elizabeth Hall and Moscow’s Svetlanov Hall, among others.
