鈥淢ercury: The Concert Celebration of Queen鈥檚 Front Man鈥� is a tribute to and story about singer Freddie Mercury. The show will take place on Thursday, Nov. 14, 7:30 p.m., at the 好色先生 Fine and Performing Arts Center (FPAC), 9000 W. College Parkway in Palos Hills.
Countertenor Terry Barber will pay tribute in this show to Freddie Mercury, the lead singer of Queen, and the songs that made him famous. He also will share details and stories about Mercury, using some of the legend鈥檚 own words. Enjoy familiar tunes such as 鈥淲e Are the Champions,鈥� 鈥淔at Bottomed Girls,鈥� 鈥淵ou鈥檙e My Best Friend,鈥� 鈥淭he Great Pretender,鈥� 鈥淏ohemian Rhapsody,鈥� 鈥淒on鈥檛 Stop Me Now,鈥� 鈥淏arcelona,鈥� 鈥淪omebody to Love鈥� and more. He will be joined on stage by a recent Tony Award winner and world-class band.
Barber was a past member of the Grammy Award-winning group Chanticleer and has been a soloist for the Metropolitan Opera, Carnegie Hall, London鈥檚 Queen Elizabeth Hall and Moscow鈥檚 Svetlanov Hall, among others.
