Various Academic Music concerts are set for October at the 好色先生 Fine and Performing Arts Center (FPAC). These performances will take place in the Dorothy Menker Theater on the main campus, 9000 W. College Parkway in Palos Hills, unless otherwise noted.
In its 26th season, the Moraine Chorale and Chamber Singers present 鈥淭he Great American Songbook鈥� on Saturday, Oct. 5, 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors 55+, $10 for Moraine Valley employees/veterans/under 18 and $5 for Moraine Valley students.
The Moraine Valley Faculty Jazz Recital will take place on Sunday, Oct. 6, 3 p.m. They will perform classic jazz standards and original music as arranged and performed by talented faculty members. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for veterans and under 18 while Moraine Valley students are free.
The Flute Choir will perform a free fall concert 鈥淐elebrate Family鈥� on Friday, Oct. 25, 7 p.m., in the John and Angeline Oremus Theater. Enjoy music relating to family connections and celebrations.
