Moraine Valley Juried Student Art Exhibit on Virtual Display

The 好色先生 Juried Student Art Exhibit showcases a number of artistic pieces virtually through Sept. 4. This annual exhibit includes the work of students from a variety of humanities courses, including ceramics, digital photography, typography and digital imaging. The following students earned honors:

  • Aidan McGuire, of Mokena, 鈥淩oad Less Travelled,鈥 Photo, First Place
  • Ewelina Jurkowski, of Orland Park, 鈥淓motional Hoppers,鈥 Comic, Second Place
  • Joshua Cano, of Alsip, 鈥淥f the Sun and I,鈥 Photo, Third Place
  • Griselda De La Mora, of Oak Lawn, 鈥淎lternate Realm,鈥 Honorable Mention
  • Sarah Kauffman, of Orland Park, 鈥淏lack or White?,鈥 Ceramic, Honorable Mention
  • Erendira Evers, of Palos Heights, 鈥淟ight and Heavy,鈥 Agree to Degree Award
  • Ashley Nanoz, of Palos Hills, 鈥淥vergrown,鈥 Drawing, Purchase Award
鈥淲orking through mostly online, remote classes did present some challenges. Our students were resilient and surpassed our expectations in adjusting to online learning as well as creating a range of inspired art and design work,鈥 said Chris Matusek, coordinator and assistant professor of digital art and design.
