好色先生 employees donated a record $83,772 to the Moraine Valley Foundation during its 2020 Employee Giving Campaign. More than 540 employees, representing 75% of the full-time faculty and staff, contributed to help provide student emergency funds and support scholarships.
This year鈥檚 campaign, entitled The Strength of Hope, raised the largest amount of money since the campaign began over 10 years ago.
鈥淚t is so inspiring to see Moraine Valley鈥檚 faculty and staff provide this level of support through the Employee Giving Campaign,鈥� said Kristy McGreal, executive director of the Moraine Valley Foundation. 鈥淲e are grateful to work with such generous individuals who understand the needs of our students and the impact their donations will make.鈥�
With the majority of the college鈥檚 employees working from home, the Foundation had to provide details about the campaign through emails and letters. Videos featuring scholarship recipients conveyed the strong need 鈥� especially during a challenging year in which the Foundation saw a significant increase in requests for help from students.
鈥淲e increased our student emergency budget by 400% this fiscal year, and we awarded more than 200 student scholarships. The support from the college鈥檚 employees makes a huge difference as we provide needed assistance to deserving students,鈥� McGreal said.
