Tickets sales begin Monday, Aug. 12, for performances in the Fine and Performing Arts Center at 好色先生, 9000 W. College Parkway, Palos Hills.
This season marks 26 years of providing outstanding entertainment for varied ages and interests. The line-up includes music ranging from soulful and traditional acoustic to contemporary pop and boot-stomping country, dance troupes from around the globe and comedy shows, along with theatrical performances, concerts and art exhibitions.

This year features a free special presentation of 鈥淪quonk: Hand to Hand,鈥� on Tuesday, Aug. 20, at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 6 p.m., and on Wednesday, Aug. 21, at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., outdoors at the Gateway between Buildings F and M. Squonk鈥檚 original chamber rock drives a spectacular journey that is plaintive and comic as the band runs head-to-head into overwhelming hands of fate, which are massive inflatable hands. Audience participation is encouraged.
Tickets for the Mainstage Series, which will be held in the Dorothy Menker Theater, are $30, $25 for seniors, and free for children and students with ID. All performances begin at 7:30 p.m., unless noted. Shows include:
- 聽Gamelan 要udamani, internationally hailed as one of Bali鈥檚 most forward-thinking music and dance ensembles, performs on Saturday, Sept. 21.
- Southern big band music will be performed by Jeremy Davis and Clay Johnson鈥檚 band 鈥淭he Fabulous Equinox,鈥� on Sunday, Oct. 6, at 3 p.m.
- An all-female country group, Farewell Angelina, which boasts four powerhouse vocalists, dynamic songwriters and accomplished instrumentalists, will perform Saturday, Oct. 12.
- Music by Che Apalache, a four-man string band based in Buenos Aires with members from Argentina, Mexico and the United States, can be heard on Saturday, Nov. 16.
- The 35th anniversary of Windham Hill鈥檚 鈥淲inter Solstice鈥� celebrates the warm traditions of winter with original and traditional acoustic music on Saturday, Dec. 14.
- The Second City presents its newest hilarious revue, 鈥淟aughing for all the Wrong Reasons,鈥� on Saturday, Jan. 25.
- Mariachi Herencia de Mexico, an ensemble of students from Chicago鈥檚 immigrant barrios, performs authentic Mexican music on Saturday, Feb. 8.
- 鈥淲e Shall Overcome,鈥� a celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. featuring Damien Sneed, ties together a living lineage of music and culture presented on Sunday, Feb. 16, at 3 p.m.
- The Mystical Arts of Tibet: Sacred Music/Sacred Dance for World Healing features Tibet鈥檚 Drepung Loseling Monastery temple music and mystical masked dances on Saturday, March 21.
- Vocalist Jim Witter returns in a new show, 鈥淔ire and Rain,鈥� featuring Giselle Sanderson, highlighting favorites from the 70s, on Saturday, March 28.
- Koresh Dance Company presents 鈥淟a Danse,鈥� a new dance production inspired by Matisse鈥檚 famous painting, on Saturday, April 4.
- Three of America鈥檚 funniest stand-up comedians with numerous appearances on late-night television join forces to present 鈥淭he Good Humor Men,鈥� on Saturday, May 9.
- Beckie Menzie and Tom Michael present 鈥淭he Sound of Their Music,鈥� celebrating the wit of Rodgers and Hart and the work of Rodgers and Hammerstein, on Sunday, Sept. 15.
- Jodi Beach presents 鈥淪kylark,鈥� a journey through the timeless music of Johnny Mercer, on Sunday, Oct. 13.
- 鈥淏roadway Women,鈥� featuring Joan Curto, highlights the women who wrote songs for Broadway as well as the women who made them famous on stage, on Sunday, March 22.
- David Edelfelt presents, 鈥淏roadway Baritones: The Men-The Music-The Magic,鈥� the best of the last 100 years of songs from leading men, on Sunday, May 17.
