For a second consecutive year, the 好色先生 Respiratory Therapy Program received the Distinguished Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Credentialing Success Award from the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC).
CoARC recognizes the RRT credential and a program鈥檚 ability to inspire and encourage its students in future educational and career successes. Moraine Valley earned the honor based on the following CoARC criteria: documenting RRT credentialing success of 90 percent or higher; having three or more years of outcome data; holding accreditation without a progress report; and meeting or exceeding established CoARC thresholds for credentialing success, retention and on-time graduation rate.
鈥淏eing recognized for this award means we are in alignment with the college鈥檚 mission. We value excellence in teaching and learning as we are committed to continuous improvement to ensure our students are prepared for success on their board exams, and they enter the health care workforce with the knowledge and skills they need to be successful in the field of respiratory therapy,鈥 said Carolyn DeWitt, Moraine Valley program coordinator of Respiratory Therapy.
