This program prepares students for entry-level careers in computer networking and information technology. Graduates are equipped with the technical knowledge and hands-on experience needed for roles such as IT support specialist, PC support technician, help desk support specialist, network support technician and junior network administrator.
Students gain practical experience installing, configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting desktop computers, network devices and local area networks. Coursework covers network operating systems, user administration, network security, switching, routing and hardware and software support.
The program also helps students prepare for industry-recognized certifications, including CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+ and Cisco CCNA. Graduates leave with a strong foundation in networking technologies and the skills needed to support today’s business and enterprise computing environments.
